Jonell Elder

Jonell is a mother of one son, one step daughter, one step son and three step granddaughters. She is a Reiki Master and Teacher as well as a bookkeeper. Through her business, A Way of Sharing, she shares 30 years of bookkeeping skills, and in her Reiki practice she utilizes Young Living Essential Oils to achieve optimum healing for her clients. Using Essential Oils is "a way of sharing" health and well being with everyone.

"I first started experimenting with essential oils as a child in my grandfather’s rose garden by trying to squeeze the beautiful scent from the rose petals. Now, knowing it takes 5,000 pounds of rose petals to make one pound of essential oil, I understand why I was unable to have any success 'bottling' my own rose scents."

One day, in 1997, while in Whistler, BC, a friend gave her some Young Living Lavender oil for a cut.  She used it, loved the smell, and was amazed at how soothing the Lavender oil was and how quickly the cut healed.  She has been using Young Living Essential Oils ever since.

After being married for 25 years and getting a divorce, she moved to Makawao, Maui and lived there for five years, from 2000-2005.  That time of her life was a healing journey. During her years on Maui she feels blessed to have become a Reiki Master and Teacher and is happy to practice Reiki in Everett, WA.

It was also at this time that Jonell rejoined the Young Living family.  Being conservative, she did not order products for a few years and was about to run out of Thieves. So in 2004, she ordered more Thieves and began to build her Young Living business. Thieves is one of her favorite oils. "Although," she says, "I can’t say that I have one favorite.  But I do  love how Thieves helps me to stay healthy, and to not catch colds or the flu. Thieves is also great to use if my gums become sensitive. I just put a drop or two in a little water and gargle, and the discomfort goes away."

Jonell is now living in Everett, WA. and enjoys “wearing” the oils and sharing the oils with people in her daily life and with her family and friends. Her mother often asks her for help with aches and pains and she loves how the oils help her.  Her mother reaches for a bottle of oil rather than a bottle of pills. Both Jonell and her mother always start their day with NingXia Red juice to give them energy and to get all the wonderful health benefits that come from drinking NingXia Red.

Ms. Elder recently had to deal with Toxic Black Mold in her home and was so thankful to have a bottle of Thieves essential oil and Thieves Household Cleaner to help eliminate the mold. "Knowing that I did not have to resort to using bleach or chemicals was such a relief. And the results from using the Thieves products was truly amazing," she says.

She is very passionate about the wonderful gifts from Young Living Essential Oils and is grateful to be a cosponsor of Young Living Northwest, which holds events for the public, and for Young Living members. Her other passions are spending time with family and friends. She loves dancing, camping, attending plays and sports events and gets great enjoyment while gardening. Habitat for Humanity is an organization she volunteers her time to.
